Trust is the variable most organizations forget to measure until it's already gone.

Jamie Anne Vaughan studies how communication builds trust, erodes it, and shapes who holds power and credibility in the process. That plays out at two levels: how organizations communicate as institutions, and how individual leaders communicate with the people who follow, fund, or answer to them.

Right now she's focused on what AI means for organizational trust: how it changes what leaders need to say, how institutions need to show up, and what authentic credibility even looks like when so much is automated.

Her work spans consulting, research, and the classroom. She's an Assistant Professor at Mount Royal University, a PhD researcher at the University of Calgary, and the founder of Westwood Strategies. The research sharpens the consulting. The consulting keeps the research honest. The teaching stress-tests both.

A Toronto native, she now lives in Calgary with her partner and daughter.
